Hi Workawayers,

My name is Daniel. I've been traveling for half a year, and I've been learning as much about other cultures and ways of living as possible. I love getting to learn new things and working with my hands, and over the past year I’ve taken a particular liking to rural life. Someday I think I’d like to have my own homestead, though that’s still a long way off. I particularly enjoy sustainable farming and horsemanship, and though I’m pretty bad at both, I’m an eager learner and willing to work hard.

As an aspiring outdoorsman I embrace the opportunity to work outside in any weather; as an accomplished indoorsman I consistently read, write, and drink tea. I'm also normally quite interested in politics, though lately I've withdrawn a bit to protect my sanity.

I am also very interested in spirituality and mindfulness, and living intentionally.

I don't have many useful skills, but I'm always willing to learn if someone shows me how. I'm not afraid of asking questions or looking like a fool (most of the time), so if you trust me with something more complex then I'll annoy you until I'm sure I can do it properly on my own.

I'm good for moving heavy loads and doing simple, hands-on tasks; in the summers I run a window cleaning business, so I'm used to working long days in the heat.

I also have experience with basic administrative tasks and enjoy organizing things.

For two weeks, I found Daniel to be a gentle and quiet visitor who paid attention and took seriously his visit, and quite productive in his labor, above and beyond what was necessary. He is unassuming, respectful, and well able to manage himself, very mature for his age.

I had an amazing two weeks with Daniel. The Workaway page doesn't do this place justice! The location was incredibly beautiful, and the work was varied and enjoyable.
