Kia ora (Hello)! We are Daniel and Tessa from New Zealand. We are living in Canada on a Working Holiday Visa this year and we looking forward to learning about Canadian culture and life. For the last year, we have been travelling and learning French in France, working at a wedding château and at a monastery.

Dan loves hiking, running, reading and playing guitar. He is learning French and enjoys learning about French cuisine (mostly by eating!).
Tessa loves sewing, camping and travel. She has conversational French as she studied in France on a university exchange.

Community is very important to us and we are intentional about developing relationships. We used to run a youth group together. We enjoyed sharing meals and mentoring young people.

We would love to meet you and learn about your life and projects. We will help out wherever we can!

At home, Dan was a youth worker. He is organised and responsible. Dan loves getting people together for events and big shared meals. He has skills in online administration and website design. Recently, Dan has been working at a château working on the wedding bar, doing gardening and helping with general maintenance.

In New Zealand, Tessa was a government social policy analyst. She is adaptable, personable and works well under pressure. Tessa is artistic and enjoys sewing and cooking. Recently, she has been working at a château as a cleaner and waitress.
