My next destination:
Wellington, New Zealand - from Apr 2025 until Jul 2025 View allDescription
Hi there!
My name is Constance, and I’ve just left Belgium to explore the beauty of New Zealand for a few months! 😊
After completing my Master’s in Organismal Biology and Ecology, I’m excited to get hands-on and contribute to caring for the incredible nature that surrounds us. As a fun fact, during my Master’s, I studied a family of sea stars (as you can see from one of my photos, I see them everywhere haha^^)! It was an exciting project, and it really deepened my passion for marine life.
I plan to stay in New Zealand until August and would love the opportunity to contribute and help out for a few weeks during this time. I’m looking to alternate between volunteering experiences like Workaway and other work opportunities, and I’m excited to dedicate myself fully to each experience while I’m here.
So far, I've had two great woofing experiences with my friend Jeanne: one near Tauranga, where we helped set up a duck pen and tackled some (surprisingly satisfying!) weeding, and another near Tongariro, where we took on a variety of tasks, including cooking, refurbishing windows, and even helping to build a roof.
Also, I have a 5-year-old brother and have worked as a children's play leader and babysitter, so I’m also open to looking after your children if that’s something you would like assistance with!
Feel free to ask if you have any questions :)
Hoping to meet you soon :*Languages

More details about your skills
I’ve had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various fields, both professionally and through my travels, and I’m always open to learning new things!
1) Cooking and Meal Preparation:
I’m passionate about healthy cooking and enjoy preparing balanced meals, including vegetarian dishes. I’m familiar with meal prep, cooking in larger quantities, and cleaning up afterward. I’m happy to adapt to any dietary requirements and enjoy experimenting with new recipes!
2) Childcare and Babysitting:
I have experience caring for children, as I have a 5-year-old brother and have worked as a children’s play leader and babysitter. I’m comfortable with looking after children, organizing fun activities, and ensuring they are safe and entertained.
3) Pet-Sitting:
I absolutely love animals and have experience with pet-sitting. I’ve taken care of both cats and dogs, feeding them, taking them for walks, and ensuring they are safe, happy, and well-cared for while their owners are away. I'm reliable and gentle with pets and love spending time with them !
4) Housework and Cleaning:
I’m experienced in general housekeeping, from cleaning and tidying to organizing and maintaining spaces. I’ve lived in a student flat with 13 people, so I’m used to working in a team to keep things clean and organized. I’m thorough, reliable, and always up for helping keep the space clean and welcoming.
5) Gardening and Outdoor Work:
I’ve worked on multiple gardening projects (my father dreamed of having strawberries in his garden, not so easy in Belgium), from planting and maintaining vegetable gardens to general outdoor maintenance, including trimming and caring for plants and weeding. I love spending time outdoors and helping keep the environment healthy and thriving.
Other Skills:
I’m a fast learner and always open to trying new things, whether it’s helping with DIY tasks, painting, or any other hands-on work. I’m flexible, proactive, and bring a positive attitude to everything I do.
I am excited to contribute my skills while learning new ones and immersing myself in new experiences!Age

Initially, I was supposed to come alone, but my friends had an issue with their woofing. Carol-Anne was incredibly kind to welcome them at the last minute and even arranged a space for us to share a caravan together.
