Hey,
I'm Claire, I’m 25, and I recently graduated from university with a degree in Architecture. I’m thinking of going on to do a postgraduate course but before I commit to this I have decided to take a breather for a year to travel.
I am a kind and patient person, with a passion for learning new things that help me to be creative and independent. This is why I want to travel with workaway; I think immersing myself in new ways of life will push me to learn and grow as a person.
Also, I am tired of sitting behind a computer screen, often working by myself. This modern lifestyle completely goes against my nature... so I hope that travelling can help me find a better way of living.
Of course, this experience is an exchange and above all I want to be of value wherever I go. You won’t find anyone more hardworking or willing to learn new skills, so please consider inviting me to work with you :)

- I grew up in a home that valued self-sufficiency so I am independent and resourceful: I can clean, cook, garden, do basic DIY, care for animals etc.
- I am a skilled designer and artist, I love to draw by hand and I have always had a natural talent for making things.
- I love to bake and cook, especially for other people!
- I have skills in design software and have experience working in admin so I can help with technical tasks if needed.
- I hope to become a researcher/writer in the future. I have interests in various current subjects like sustainability and psychology which I often integrate into my designs and would be excited to teach others about.
- I am currently training to teach English online and would love to help people practice their English skills.
- I am fit and healthy. I enjoy keeping active through running, hiking, yoga, sauna and cold swimming.

I have done a few workaways in Europe now, including Finland, England, France and Italy. In total I have been away for 8 months and in this time I have gained so much experience.
