¡Hola, soy Claire y soy de Alemania!
En julio cumplí 18 años.
En mayo de 2025 terminé mi bachillerato.
Me encanta estar al aire libre, en la naturaleza, y sin duda prefiero vivir y trabajar en equipo antes que sola. Me gusta compartir mis ideas y pensamientos, y me interesan mucho las ideas y pensamientos de las personas que me rodean. Por supuesto, a veces cada uno necesita tiempo para sí mismo, pero personalmente obtengo mi energía pasando tiempo con otras personas, no sola. No obstante, soy capaz de trabajar sola de forma responsable si conozco mi tarea.
Además de mi familia y mis amigos, la música es muy importante para mí. Toco la batería, un poco el piano, y era cantante en un coro y una banda. Ahora no lo estoy, porque la banda y el coro son de mi escuela donde ahora no paso mi tiempo más, pero quiero volver a entrar a un coro y una banda. Tambíen me gusta hacer teatro y me intresan mucho los idiomas.

En la actualidad, considero que salvar nuestros ecosistemas y nuestro planeta del cambio climático es la tarea más importante que debemos realizar. Por eso deseo participar en proyectos para la protección del clima. Si todos participáramos, no sería tan difícil hacer del mundo un lugar mejor, más natural y menos orientado al consumo.
La agricultura ecológica y sostenible, sobre todo la permacultura, me parece muy interesante. También me encantaría mucho participar en proyectos como la recogida de basura y la plantación de árboles, así como informar a la gente sobre la urgencia de la protección del clima y cómo pueden participar.
Además me gustaría mucho conocer a gente diferentes y ¡quiero mejorar mi español!

Ya pasé cuatro meses y medio en España haciendo cuatro voluntarios (WWOOF y Workaway). Primero fui a Andalucía (Nerja y la Sierra de las Nieves), pasé por Sevilla y Granada y después me quedé dos meses en una granja cerca de Valéncia.
Este mes (el Junio) quiero ir a Asturia y Galicia, como mucha gente me recomenndaron esa región de España.
En mis voluntarios anteriores viví con und pareja, dos familias y en una comunidad, aprendí un tanto del trabajo en el huerto, permacultura, cocina, un poco de la agricultura sintrópica y un poquito de construcción. (Trans)planté árboles y aprendí un montón del castellano.

Idiomas:
El alemán es mi lengua materna.
El inglés lo aprendí doce años en la escuela. Puedo comunicar (casi) sin problemas en inglés. Es más o menos fluido, pero no perfecto.
El castellano lo aprendí cuatro años en el instituto y lo mejoré durante mi viaje. Puedo comunicar y aprender bastante bien, pero a veces no entiendo todo y no sé totas las palabras obviamente. Quiero llegar a hablarlo con fluidez. Por eso me gustaría hablar en castellano lo más posible. :))

También estoy interesada en los ideomas regionales en España!

En el futuro me gustaría aprender el francés y quizá el Japonés. (De verdad me gustaría aprender todos los idiomas...)

More details about my language interests
I am quite interested in languages. As German is my mother tounge, I suppose I could teach it a little, but I have no special education to do that and it is not my main aim. I learned Spanish in school from 7th to 10th grade. In 11th and 12th grade, unluckily there was no Spanish couse anymore, so I couldn't continue. But I love the language and I am eager to improve it. This is my main reason for having chosen Spain for living abroad for half a year. By now my Spanish level is approximately B1. I hope that I'll be fluent when I return. My English is approximately at a level of C1. It is very useful to communicate, but I prefer communicating in Spanish as this is the language I want tto earn during my stay. My English is not good enauh to teach it appropiately, I suppose.

I spent to weeks at the beginning of January with Renetta, David and Lea and I really have grown fond of them!
All the three of them are really kind and sweet people. One thing which made me feel very comfortable (and sad to be leaving, when I left) is the kindness and love they show to eachother in their family. Lea also likes to make some … read more chaos, but nobody will be angry about that, because she is such a sunshine and very cute, funny and smart.
The things that I did are: weeding, planting little radishes and lettuce from the greenhouse into the veggie garden, sowing new radishes, painting a door and David showed me how to make a professional compost. I also got to see the place in Maro where the friut, bread and vegetables of the cooperative are sold, which was very nice. (I am sure I am forgetting something right now.)
I also happily helped with the kitchen, but they always told me, I shouldn't feel obligated to do that.
My first task of all was to collect oranges from the tree and make orange juice for breakfast, which was really special for a girl from Germany. :))

I learned about the basics of permaculture, Renetta showed me how to make a bread and I learned some more Spanish and a bit of dutch of course.
With their daughter Lea Renetta and David mainly speak dutch, but both of them speak English and Spanish fluently, so there are many possible ways to communicate and improve your language skills.

The afternoons I often spent with them, going to the beach, chatting or playing with Lea, and I really enjoyed that. But I never felt obligated so if you are a person who likes to be more independent, the place will still be perfect for you.
Apart from that I had a few beautiful walks to the beach and near the Cueva de Nerja, went into the Cueva de Nerja (which is really impressive), went to the pub in Maro and took the bike to have a look at Nerja. Additionally I had the luck to experience a local village fair in Maro where everyone comes together in the street and makes fires and music in front of their houses.
If you like to kuddle cats, Zora and you will both be very happy!

The place is much more than beautiful. When I woke up the first morning and got out if the tent, I got to see the green mountains on the one side and the sea on the other side, the nature there is quite impressively wonderful and so are all the different friut trees and the rich veggie garden. :))

All in all I recommend this workaway a hundred percent and I will definitely visit you again! <3
