Description
Hi, my name is Cindy. I grew up in South Africa and moved to the Netherlands in 2016. I have Italian citizenship to work and travel in the EU.
I've been an accountant most of my career and I love the language of numbers and the problem solving my work involves.
I've also worked in hospitality doing guest relations, marketing, bookkeeping & events. This was at my parents lodge in Mozambique, a boutique hotel in Johannesburg & organising events for a sports gym I worked at for many years.
I was just fortunate that these roles came my way - I was already doing the bookkeeping and where the need for help came up, I was given the opportunity.
During these times I enjoyed the interaction with guests from all over the world and staff at all levels. Especially the variety of my tasks - admin mixed with marketing mixed with guest relations. In South Africa we call it a "Jack of all trades" and I loved it.
This is where I'd love to contribute to hosts -
Marketing, admin, guest relations & helping with events;
I've done a lot of pet and house sitting;
DIY & small renovations all learnt from my parents who renovate houses before selling them.
I do Workaways because I love meeting people from around the world and seeing a country as a local. Workaways are a great way to experience a place while keeping busy and having purpose during my stay.
Honesty, integrity and being responsible are very important to me. I don't smoke, drink or take drugs.
Always appreciative of the experiences I've had and the wonderful people I've met along the way through Workaway.

The location at the top of the mountains in Trento is unbelievable. There are views all around the guesthouse of the surrounding mountains and even Lake Garda. It's on many cycling and hiking routes so there is always somewhere to explore or lots of space to relax at the guesthouse.

The area is peaceful & set in vineyards. Accommodation was in a seperate Ghite that was so comfortable & well equipped, it was a real home away from home. It was also perfect to get lots of studying & work done in the evenings.
