Profile information
Description
I’m from Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. I have recently joined Workaway to get a chance to focus on one of my greatest passions in life: animals. I hope to be able to make meaningful contributions to animal welfare and to help promote animal awareness.
I have a deep-rooted fascination with all creatures: pets, farm animals and wildlife. I believe that the very least we humans can do is show respect to all animals and treat them with kindness and compassion.Languages

More details about your skills
I have some previous experience from volunteering, although in a spontaneous and non-organized way. My husband and I lived in South Africa 2017¬-2018 where I initiated some fundraising to help the children in the townships of Cape Town. Ever since then, I regularly help support a family I got to know there. In Cape Town, I also spent some time trying to socialize feral cats at a local dog and cat shelter.
Here in Sweden, I’m mentoring a refugee family from Ukraine, who has fled Russia’s invasion of their country.
I’m very interested in photography. I also make short videos, both for my work as an editor at The Swedish Dementia Centre, as well as for social media from my travels. From an early age on, I have had an urge to see the world, meet people and learn about different cultures and ways of living.
Soon I will be privileged enough to just work part time, which will enable me to take part in different animal welfare initiatives.Age
