We are currently in Cairns on a WHV 417. We’re interested in Australian culture and life here locally. We came to Australia because we don’t speak English well, but we want to learn it.

We are an active and open-minded duo from Germany, ready to explore the beauty and diversity of Australia!
Our main motivation for choosing Workaway is to have a truly authentic experience. We don’t just want to visit the typical tourist spots; we want to immerse ourselves in the local culture, connect with people from different backgrounds, and significantly improve our English skills through daily life and meaningful conversations.
In Germany, we both work full-time with children. This professional background has taught us to be extremely patient, responsible, and reliable. We are used to staying calm in busy environments and enjoy being organized and helpful. Whether it’s supporting a family routine, being creative, or simply lending a hand where it’s needed most, we bring a lot of energy and a positive attitude.
Staying fit is a big part of our lives. We love being outdoors and are very active. We enjoy everything from hiking and running to exploring nature. We are not afraid to get our hands dirty and are more than happy to help out with physical tasks, gardening, or household projects. We’re looking forward to sharing stories, learning new things, and contributing to your daily life in a meaningful way!"
