Description
Hola! Hello, My name is Chanel and I am from Sydney, Australia. I am travelling through Latin America from 2025-2026 primarily to experience the vast cultures and to give my time volunteering and teaching English.
I have been fortunate enough to have volunteered throughout Asia, South America and Central America teaching English as a second language to ages 2 years old through to adults.
I have experience teaching through music and enjoy teaching songs in English and dancing with children as an interactive way of learning.
I have my level 3 certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language through TEFL Academy.
I have 8 years experience working as a cabin manager in aviation in Australia which was safety focused and further enhanced my customer service and problem-solving skills.
Most recently I volunteered for an NGO on a cruise ship that circumnavigated the world for 107 days, visiting 20 countries. I taught private, group and open English classes daily to the passengers onboard as well as hosting many other self-organised events during the voyage.
I used to teach children in Sydney ages 18 months + to dance and sing.
I am trained in Hip Hop, musical theatre, ballet and I absolutely love salsa dancing.
I am travelling to meet new people and immerse myself in different cultures.
I speak English fluently (as this is my mother tongue) and intermediate level Italian and Spanish.
I have lived in Sydney, New York, Florence, Rome, Paris and travelled to many other countries in South and Central America.
My passions and hobbies include: dancing, singing, writing, video-making, yoga, meeting new people, learning new languages, trying new food and of course travelling.
I am a great communicator, a fast learner and will bring a big smile and a great attitude 😊
