All of local things in Atlanta!
My next destination:
Atlanta, GA, United States - from Aug 2025 until Dec 2025 View allDescription
Hello, people all over the world 🌐!
I'm CHANHYEOK SONG from South Korea.
But you can call me just 'Chahyo', a nickname given by my Indonesian friends who I met in a voluntary program between two countries. It means '⭐Shining⭐' in Indonesian, but interestingly my Korean name has the same meaning. (though they didn't know that!)
So I guess you can easily imagine how my vibe is!
To be specific...
1) 💫 My favorite word that can explain me is 'Inspiration(al)'
Looking back on the past, I feel like I've grown by positive influences (it could be mainly persons and their helping) and thanks to it, I became a better person and it's still going. So naturally, I grew to have a desire to give my things to someone as much as what I've received, in a inspirational way only I can do. I truly believe a mechanism of the world is 'Give&Take' :)
That's why 'Inspiration' is my favorite one.
2) 💻 I'm proactive person in both career and personal lives.
I always want to inspire someone. So, my dream job is a Product or Service manager in startups (planning new things)
At my home university, I have planned and held two events successfully from scratch by pitching my project proposals.
-The first one is held in a library. I collected printed paper about location of books and recycled it to post-it with wishing messages attached on a wall and book calendars for students.
-The second transformed a vacant cafe at campus during vacation into a learning space where elderly neighbors could learn to use kiosks, and students could listen to local stories and wisdom.
Thanks to these experiences, I did an internship at a startup for eco-friendly business, earlier this year.
3) 🏊♂️ I'm outdoor-goer playing in the nature.
When I was in mandatory military service, I was sent to 'Airborn' troop (luckily!). There, I could get a change to fly the sky and I really did it with a parachute. This experience led me to other activities out of troop. I swam across the river and ran half-marathons.
4) ♥ I'm interested in volunteer.
It's the most easy way to give my things to someone. When I was in troop, we helped people and fixed their houses damaged by flood. I volunteered at an orphanage and participated in Plogging on an island collecting trash.
✈ Now, as a exchange student I'm preparing for new journey abroad soon!
(I will head to the Atlanta, GA, USA.)
The goal of this journey is to be fully soaked into the local community.
To achieve this, I'm studying hard about history of Atlanta and planning to register local voluntary center, participate in half-marathon, and do home-stay via 'Workaway' in Atlanta!
With my experiences and visions of life, I'd love to help what you need as hard as possible
(This attitude would be helpful for my future, too!)
