Description
Hi! We are Dani and Celia, a couple from Granada, Spain.
Currently, Celia is living and working on the Gold Coast and has been travelling around Queensland since last June. Dani will arrive on January 1st, and from then on we will start travelling and volunteering together around Australia.
Celia has experience working as an all-rounder in a bungalow lodge in Rossville (Cooktown) for three months, doing housekeeping, gardening, breakfast service, and basic maintenance. She has also worked on the Gold Coast in hospitality and housekeeping. Celia studied Tourism and previously worked in a boutique hotel in Spain, where she covered reception, waitressing, kitchen work, housekeeping, and pet sitting. She especially enjoys baking and regularly makes bread and sourdough for friends and family.
Dani is a winemaker and sommelier with experience in vineyard work such as pruning and harvesting, mainly with grapevines but also with other crops and garden tasks. He studied Enology and is passionate about wine from the vineyard to the glass. In Spain, he runs a wine distribution company, organising wine tastings, training sessions, and menu development for restaurants.
We both love nature, the mountains, and the sea, and we enjoy spending our free time outdoors. Some of our favourite activities are trekking, swimming, snorkelling, diving, climbing, yoga, and exploring new places.
We are responsible, easy-going, and sociable people who enjoy cultural exchange and meeting new people. We follow a vegetarian diet, care deeply about the environment and animals, and try to live sustainably by buying local products and reducing our ecological footprint as much as possible.
We are excited to learn new skills, share our experience, help where needed, and be part of daily life while travelling around Australia. We look forward to meeting hosts, exchanging cultures, and creating meaningful experiences together.
