  • Description

Hello! I’m Celeste, a 26-year-old energetic girl, freshly graduated with a Master's degree in Cultural Project Management, and I am looking to broaden my cultural horizons by volunteering on a meaningful project! I am seeking a fulfilling experience that will enable me to engage in intercultural exchanges and learning opportunities. This is also a wonderful opportunity to practice my English and to improve my vocabulary while getting to know a different culture.

My dream workaway experience would involve helping in a historic house that hosts art residencies or cultural events such as art exhibitions and concerts, or that welcomes people from all around the globe. I love to cook nourishing and comforting meals, gardening and growing my own vegetables (so rewarding!), learning about the benefits of medicinal plants and doing crafty things like painting or other handiwork. I am versatile, curious, pro-active and persevering. These qualities enable me to adapt easily to situations and challenge myself on a daily basis. I'm also a creative person: I love scrapbooking, watercolour painting, and crocheting. I am very sociable and enjoy going to exhibitions with friends or attending intimate concerts. I listen to a wide range of music, but I have a particular fondness for post-punk and alternative music.

I have spent the last two years working at a jazz music festival (Jazz à Vienne) as a communication and public relations assistant. I have a wide range of experience in the cultural field: I have volunteered for 9 months in an association that supports intercultural projects, I have been an editor for an alternative cultural magazine, and a receptionist at both a film festival and an indie rock festival. These experiences speak volumes about my curiosity and my desire to contribute to projects committed to alternative culture, solidarity, and the environment.

I am eager to discover more about Ireland and its beautiful landscapes!

  • More details about your skills

For the past two years, I’ve worked in a music festival as a communications and public relations assistant. My responsibilities included managing the festival's social media accounts and creating written and audiovisual content. I have excellent interpersonal skills, having worked with a variety of audiences and in contact with the press and artistic teams. I have strong project coordination and event organisation skills. I am organized, creative and passionate!

During my voluntary community work at Concordia (an intercultural NGO), I’ve learned to lead creative workshops and workshops about social and solidarity projects.
I’ve also worked as a receptionist in festivals and as a waitress in a coffeehouse so I’ve got a great sense of hospitality.

I am resourceful and enjoy gardening, DIY and repairing furniture. During the summer of 2024, I’ve volunteered as a WOOFer in a farm in the south of France, where I learned permaculture techniques. I’m eager to learn more about gardening techniques and plant varieties!

I also love cooking, baking and trying out new recipes! It will be a pleasure to cook cozy vegetarian meals for the community! I grew up surrounded by cats and I love animals, so I'm excited about the idea of looking after them during a workaway!

I love learning new things and trying out new activities. Currently, I am learning to play the electric guitar and working on a project with a friend to create an art fanzine. I love trying out new recipes and would like to get into fermentation and sourdough baking. I do yoga from time to time, and I love walking in nature and going hiking.
