Hi there! I’m Catherine 👋
I’m an Italian-English professional currently based in Brussels. Since I work remotely, I’m lucky to have the flexibility to travel — and I’m looking forward to spending the month of November in Spain, where I’d love to join a project, help out, and escape the chilly Belgian weather. 🌞

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with dogs (and still have two family dogs back home in Italy 🐶❤️), have volunteered in shelters, and have done several pet sitting jobs — so caring for animals comes very naturally to me. I also spent a month in Peru volunteering at a dog shelter with 17 free-roaming dogs, where I helped with their daily care, supported the property owner, and took turns cooking meals for the other volunteers.

Beyond animal care, I really enjoy cooking (it’s one of my passions!) and I’d be more than happy to prepare meals and help in the kitchen. I also don’t mind rolling up my sleeves for house chores, keeping spaces tidy, or helping with plant care. On top of this, I regularly help my mum manage her BnB in southern Italy, which has taught me to be responsible and attentive when looking after someone else’s property.

All in all, I’m reliable, flexible, and easy to get along with. I’d love to contribute wherever I can — whether it’s with pets, the home, the garden, or in the kitchen — while also learning from new people and cultures along the way.

I have a great love for food and cooking, specifically I love to learn how to cook other countries’ typical recipes. So far I’ve been able to learn some traditional Middle Eastern, Venezuelan and Indian recipes (along with Italian of course) and would love to have the chance to learn new things from hosts around the world.
