Salut ! I am Caroline, an easygoing french girl. I work as a social worker in Grenoble. I am passionate about travel and new adventures, I travel a lot in my van whenever I have free time.
I've been taking a professional break since September 2024 and traveled to Colombia for two months at the end of the year. I participated in two different Workaways: the first on San Andrés Island in an hostel and the second in a nature reserve (Reserva El Jaguar del Carrizal) in the Sierra Nevada. I'm now planning to travel to Spain and Portugal from mid-March to mid-May with my van. I started learning Spanish in Colombia and want to improve it in Spain. I'm very curious about learning new skills and meeting new people!
I'm a dynamic and sporty person. I like running, hiking and I've been dancing since I was a child. I also love water sport like swimming, diving, canyoning, surfing,...
I'm used to community life as I lived about 10 years within a house-sharing with many people. It was a great experience, I learned to adapt to different situations. I am able to work in a team and on my own.
I would be happy to help you while learning new skills and sharing mine!Interests

More details about your skills
Work in hostel: When I was on Erasmus in Scotland, I worked in the High Street Hostel of Edinburgh, where I also lived for 4 months. Three times a week I cleaned the rooms or prepared breakfast. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the hostel and told myself that I wanted to relive the experience!
I worked as a Workawayer during 2 weeks in the Blue Almond Hostel of San Andres Island in Colombia.
Farm work: I worked for a few weeks near my home on a farm. I like working outside, I love gardening and I am comfortable with animals.
I worked as a Workawayer during 10 days in the nature reserve El Jaguar del Carrizal in the Sierra Nevada of Colombia.
Associative work: Before becoming a social worker, I completed a master's degree in international cooperation in order to work in NGOs. I worked for two months in Kefalonia (Greece), in a sea turtle conservation center.
Then, I went twice to the migrant camps of Samos and Lesbos in Greece. This experience made me want to work with asylum seekers in Grenoble and that's why I obtained a social worker diploma, in order to work in an emergency accommodation center.
DIY: I try to do as much as possible myself. For me, it’s a way to live more simply and respectfully of the environment. I am learning to make my own cosmetic products as well as sewing and crochet.Age
