Hey, I'm Camilla, I'm 34 years old and from the UK.
I am a happy, creative and curious soul with a lust for life! I have been working in the youth and charity sector in the UK for over 10 years and now I want to expand my horizons and explore other ways of making meaning and happiness in life.
English is my native language and I can speak basic Spanish - I would love to improve my Spanish and am always happy to try to learn new languages!
My friends and colleagues would describe me as kind, reliable, respectful, passionate, intuitive and fun. I am hard working, motivated and reliable. I love to laugh, sing, dance, draw and try new things! I love meeting and connecting with people from all over the world and strongly believe that the world is a better place when we work together.
I'm on Workaway because I think it provides unique opportunities for meeting like-minded people, immersing yourself in different ways of life, and seeing the world while giving something back.
I have been backpacking before but have always found volunteering and work-exchanges so much more rewarding.

I have over 10 years experience of working with children, young people and vulnerable adults in the UK and abroad. I have worked with people seeking asylum in the UK and in Europe for humanitarian Non-Governmental Organisations, and worked with young people facing adversity in the UK, such as children in the care system in the UK and disabled young people. I am currently working as a childminder for a toddler in Bristol, UK, where I currently live. I also look after my friend's dogs and cats on a regular basis and love animals.
From my varied work experience I have learnt that I have a strength for planning, organising and coordinating people, events and projects. I am a problem-solver and a creative thinker so if there is an issue or a barrier I love to try to find a solution for it! I am a very motivated and hard worker - I like to do my best at everything that I do.
I am a creative person and love to create art and make crafts with textiles and other materials.
I can cook, bake, clean and organise to a good standard and follow directions well. I'm always up for learning new things! I am able to work independently and with initiative.

I love swimming and anything to do with water. I would love to properly learn to surf!
I really enjoy playing sports like football, volleyball, badminton, korfball - but I'm not very good, I just play for fun 🙈
I love playing boardgames and card games - I like games that are fast, fun and competitive!
I also love to chill with a book or a movie or a trashy TV series :)
