Description

I'm Calum, a simple proud Scot with a love for hard work and a creative spirit. I've spent the last few years getting stuck into all sorts of hands on jobs from building sites and sawmills to driving vans and working outdoors in gardens. I genuinely enjoy physical work and the satisfaction that comes with it. But there's another side to me too, I’ve got a degree in art and a real passion for creativity and expression. I recently joined Workaway to mix things up, meet new people, and take on new challenges where I can put both my practical skills and artistic flair to good use.

I’ve spent many years working across a wide range of jobs from construction and sawmills to gardening, van driving, and even teaching. I left school at 15 and jumped straight into the working world, starting with a construction company not long after. I kept at it until I was 27, when I decided it was time to follow my passion and take a leap into something completely different, art school. It was a big change, but one that let me explore my creative side and bring a new perspective to the hands on experience I’d built over the years.
