I love to be outdoors and work with animals and the environment! Exploring the landscape, wild swimming and running are my favourite activities, whilst getting to know new people and places.

I am a 27-year-old outdoor educator from Cornwall and North Wales. I am hard-working and a mindful individual, with a calm, steady and conscientious approach to situations. I have been working in an outdoor education centre teaching geography, biology and environmental education in the outdoors for just over two years. Having completed my mountain leader award I've decided come travelling for a break from teaching. I am open to new ways of seeing and doing things and very eager to learn!
My main interests lie with being outdoors, working with the environment and animals. Having volunteered with many environmental and social charities whilst helping to manage a smallholding at home in Wales, I am no stranger to long hours of hard and mucky work! I really enjoy getting hands-on with jobs and working outside. I have travelled around Europe a fair bit and my first Workaway experience consisted of 6 weeks in Iceland which involved helping to run a horse and sheep farm in the North of the country, followed by spending time on two eco-farms in Switzerland.
I am super passionate about the environment, as an active volunteer in the local community, I have enjoyed delivering environmental education programmes and contributing to conservation work. I recently completed my degree in Physical Geography, where I completed a Summer School in Climate Science and Policy Making and designed a dissertation focused on the effects of climate change on bird species in the UK. Having grown up in rural environments and lived most of my life in Cornwall, I thoroughly enjoy wild landscapes and have developed a passion for kayaking, mountain walking, wild swimming and photography.
I'm very excited about having the opportunity for some new adventures and meeting some new people!Interests

My main skills centre around gardening, land management, work with animals and education. Gardening and farmwork skills include seed and vegetable planting, preparing beds for planting, working with machinery, sourcing wood and fruit and veg harvesting and processing. Within land management I have often volunteered in conservation environments, felling trees, clearing the land of certain invasive species, fence-building and maintenance, planting trees and habitat creation. During my work with animals, I have gained general knowledge about safe practice around animals, cleaning out, feeding and general maintenance of their environment. Having volunteered frequently within education environments, I am trained in first aid and safeguarding, and have an open and calm approach to situations!
Other skills include cooking and baking, general food prep and cleaning. I have worked within social media having set up accounts for the farm here in wales, and also worked in advertising before so can always help in that area or with technology!Age
