Hello work away world!
I am a teacher, musician, story teller, actor, writer and play facilitator from London, UK.
I’m setting out on a slow journey around Colombia, Cuba and Brazil studying percussion and community work and am looking for vibrant and soulful communities to live with, learn from and offer my skills.
This is my first time using work away and I hope it brings me to wonderful people and corners of the globe.
I have been studying Spanish for 2 years and hope to be fluent quite quickly after I arrive in Colombia in October.

- I have been a teacher for 10 years, both in the UK and as a TEFL - certified foreign language teacher in Japan.
- I am a professional musician and music teacher in London, playing a variety of music from around the world.
- I am most proficient in percussion and drum kit, but I also sing and play the ukulele and piano. I love teaching songs around a fire!
- I facilitate play and social games (not computer games) and am currently writing a book on how to get your friends playing games.
- I facilitate retreats in the UK, focusing on nature connection and music.
- I am an actor and would love to engage local communities with fun theatre or script writing.
- I am a story teller. Either traditional tales around the fire or just reading books aloud.
- I record and edit video documentaries.
