Professional Experience:
Housekeeper -- Austian Alps (5months)
Worked in a historic guesthouse, keeping high standards for guest rooms and common
areas, and handling different shifts with dedication and care. This was my first time taking
real responsibility and being counted on by other team members. I fit in well and we were
all having a blast working in the most beautiful mountain setting. My duties varied greatly
from preparing the rooms to taking care of the garden or giving a hand in our kitchen.
It was a great introduction to hospitality that gave me knowledge and confidence.
Festival Staff -- Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland (one week)
Our team set up a campsite and maintained its cleanliness throughout the music festival.
This one time job is how I arrived and begun my journey in The Land of Ice and Fire
Iceland. The conditions were more demanding than expected with the howling wind and
pouring rain but we delivered and no tents were send flying, which is considered a great
success. The whole process lasted one week during which we were often 14 hours on foot.
I learned to seek and prioritize what needs to be done first in order to keep things running
as smooth as possible.
Runner/Server -- Vik, Iceland (3 months)
Assisted with the smooth operation between kitchen and dining room, ensuring clear
communication and leaving our customers with a smile. My main duties involved delivering
food from the kitchen to our guests’, restocking the dining room with necessities during
service and taking extra orders from the tables. I had some barista practice too and I can
(almost) perform simple latte art!
I really enjoyed my work and got to learn how to be a welcoming host, think fast and be
adjustable as every service is a different one.
Housekeeper -- Vik, Iceland (2 months)
Made sure our guests' rooms and common areas were always spotless and inviting to rest
after a long journey. I had a great opportunity to experience a fast-paced work environment
and was trusted to thoroughly clean 12 room Hostel along with it’s shared areas.
I have learned how to work independent and prioritize tasks, so that everything is done on
time.
In addition:
- Temporary Dog Home: took care of two street dogs, working with a doctor to bring them into safe and loving homes.
- Category B Driver’s License: held for almost 2 years.
- I have experience preparing food before the service.
- I am a fast dishwasher.
- I am looking to practice my latte art skills;)Age
