Hi! I'm Bethany, I'm 25 and I'm from Scotland, UK 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

In the past 2 years I have worked volunteer placements all over the EU, Balkans, and North Africa. Including farming in Iceland, painting murals for a hostel in Morocco, dog-sitting in Slovenia, and kite surf instructing in Tunisia.

I have over 10 years' hospitality work experience in hotels, hostels, restaurants, cafes, and chalets. I have worked every role available - from sous chef, to house keeper, to bar tender/barista.

I have a BSc (hons) degree in Psychology & Counselling and have worked in mental healthcare. I have also studied Art & Design and would consider myself a creative person :)

I like being outdoors and am interested in growing food/herbs and living self sufficiently and sustainably. I have experience working with animals and I am comfortable being around free roaming sheep, cows, and wild life.

I love nature sports, such as surfing, kite surfing, hiking, skiing, ice skating, and mountain climbing. And I would love to learn more!

After backpacking for a few months at the beginning of 2022, I have now been living in and travelling with my self-converted van for over a year. I value my independence, but I love to volunteer so I can learn new skills, meet cool people, and immerse myself in the local culture.

I only speak English fluently, but I am trying to learn German. Happy to help with English lessons!

I have lots of experience in hospitality, particularly house keeping, food preparation, and customer service. I am experienced working in social environments and have done many volunteer positions, so I'm comfortable with new places and settling into the vibe :)

I have been commissioned several times to paint large-scale murals for schools, hostels, and on one occasion my local council for a bridge public underpass.

I have been trained and worked in mental health/social care.
