Description
Hi! My name is Siv (or Bird or Birdy).
I have been traveling via work-trade / volunteering since 2010, living in over 36 countries, settling no longer than a few months in each new place.
In my travels I have experienced great kindness. I have learned that to be kind to another, one must first be in kind with other. I want to always live in this way. To leave comfort and familiarity behind. To be insatiably curious. To find stability in ever changing environments. To live where someone else lives. To work how they work. To eat what they eat. To connect deeply and laugh and learn.
I want to help blossom innocence and wonder, delight and vitality within myself and those I meet; encouraging all into attention and care for each precious moment that has been given to us.
I am a hard worker and although not excessively proficient at any one skill, I feel confident and capable of most any task with some guidance or communicated vision. I enjoy all types of work (farming, landscaping, building, cooking, cleaning, carpentry, and caregiving) but more than anything else, I am searching for friendly people and new perspectives. I always love meeting people through work-trade, being accepted into stranger's homes and lives all over the world is an inspiring and joyful thing.

Outside of typical manual labor jobs, I am a great organizer and love to clean. I can be very playful and find joy working in childcare and in the special needs community. I'm interested in permaculture and farming in any capacity (gardening and growing). I also have a bachelors degree in fine arts and feel capable in most forms of digital media production. I'm good with people and understand interpersonal/customer relations. I'm a committed learner and enjoy the process of being taught, so as long as you have a minute to show me how you want something done, I can follow directions.

Their enthusiasm, maturity and willingness to help is invaluable! They are definitely an experienced traveler and very easy-going no matter the situation. They are independent and appreciates small pleasures. They are great with kids and glad to be a total ham when asked.
