Description
Hi there!
I think the best way to start describing myself is to tell you my journey until now.
I grew up in Italy in the countryside, by the mountains, riding my bike and spending my afternoons in my grandparents restaurant.
When I was 19, I had had enough of my home town and decided to go to Uni in the North of France, where I found an aupair family that gave me a home and so much support! They have 3 adorable children I was looking after, helping with homework, preparing meals, playing with them. After one year with them, I moved to Marseille and eventually graduated in Biological Oceanography.
After that, I went to Costa Rica to volunteer in a sea turtle conservation project for three months, then worked as a volunteer coordinator in a sea turtle conservation park in Guatemala for 6 months. I ended up staying for another 6 months, travelling.
I then felt I wanted to go back to study, so I started my MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation in Cornwall, UK. Cornwall became home for me, after my studies I found a teaching job at the University and I was really loving my life there.
In the meantime though, I had been saving money to go on the trip of my life, exploring latin America. For one year I travelled Central America and the Caribbean, volunteering, workawaying and doing sea turtle work.
After that my life has settled down a bit more, I’m currently working as a scientist in Cornwall but looking to go part time, and wondering what to do with my non working days.
*️️️️️️STRAIGHT TO THE POINT DESCRIPTION*️️️️️️*️️️️️️
I am enthusiastic, always up for it, I have initiative and if I have a plan I make it happen.
I am honest and direct, but also incredibily mindful of others. I like to talk to people to understand them and their decisions.
My daily mission is to be kind to whoever is around me.
I love nature and hope to transmit my passion to the people I talk to, without imposing it, never.
I believe developing strong local communities is a solution to a lot of the nonsense happening in this world, and that's with small communities that I want to work in the future. -

More details about your skills
- I can speak fluently English, Italian, French and Spanish.
- I have experience in teaching to undergraduates (University accreditation) and in environmental education with children. I like to teach through games and practical activities.
- I worked in a B&B, doing rooms, serving breakfast, and in restaurants as a waitress (it's a sort of natural skill, since I grew up in my family's restaurant).
- I have worked with tourists and volunteers before, I am helpful and friendly.

- I can cook, I'm vegetarian but happy to cook any kind of meal. -

It's amazing how much love and care they give to the animals. I learned a lot about the animals and met many volunteers. There's a lot of work to do but everyone takes turns so I never … read more
The location is beautiful, in the middle of the forest and away from traffic.
There's a lot to do at the property, like maintaining the land and finishing building the guesthouse, but Jim was relaxed about the work and was flexible about my arrival/departure dates.
Jim will make sure you have all you need and you … read more
