We are talented in the kitchen, we love to prepare recipes and learn new ones.
Our specialty? Chicken Stroganoff! We also love making homemade tomato sauce.
Vinicius is good at repairs in general, he helped my family move house and fixed several things that needed attention, like the roof and electric shower.

We have information technology, I (Bianca) am a master at finding discounts on the Internet and doing research and I do school and university work (as an extra), I have experience with the Office package. We are good with numbers and spreadsheets.

I also want to help around the house, we have experience with dogs and we really like them! We look forward to filling them with affection.
We are organized and like things neat and tidy.

And of course, in addition to helping with whatever it takes, we want to make the most of the culture, learn English, can teach Portuguese and we really want to make new friends and have new experiences in this big world.

Joyce and Ayden are amazing!
They welcomed us very well, were patient, and were excellent hosts.
Our service consisted of tidying, cleaning, gardening, maintenance, painting, and a little bit of everything. But it was always peaceful.

Bianca & Vinicius worked with me for 3 weeks in March/ April. Very nice couple. Vinicius helped me with power washing, cleaning, construction jobs, well able to work under his own direction. Bianca helped with cleaning & painting. I would recommend them and will probably have them back if they want to return

Okay, where to start?
Ah yes, for the magnificent view and unique landscape. What an amazing place. We were lucky enough to be accepted by Katherine in November 2023, we stayed there until January 18th, which was the longest our passport allowed us to stay. Because believe me, we would still be there, if would possible. 👀
At first, it was very… read more difficult for us, as we were still learning English and didn't know how to communicate clearly, but after some adjustments and conversations, our stay changed completely. We understood and learned what our hosts expected of us. We make mistakes, but we strive to learn more, which is very rewarding. Katherine and her entire family welcomed us, taught us, and allowed us to have an independence that we didn't have anywhere else in the world. Even Vini had the opportunity to relearn how to drive on the right side 🤣
Our service was based on cleaning many places and they are far from each other, in fact at the beginning a map would be fine HAHHAHAHA We were completely lost, but as time went by we got the hang of it. Our job was general cleaning, tidying, filling, and heating the bathtubs and, most importantly, we had to pay attention to the details!
Oh yes, and about the place where we stayed, warm, welcoming, the biggest of all, very private, incredible, a comfortable bed, in short, WONDERFUL.
I also want to thank you very much for all the help we received, after all, shortly after we arrived, there was a problem with the water pump throughout the property and Kath had to cancel all reservations, which left us without work. But knowing that we needed to work, to earn some money, she went out of her way every week to find things for us to do, and for that, we will be forever grateful.
Katherine and her family even gave us Christmas presents, let us stay in an apartment in Eastbourne, and took us to a farewell dinner. Wow, we have no words to describe our gratitude for everything. <3
Finally, Bramble, a beautiful cat who adopted us and kept us company for a long time, transformed Vini's chest into a little bed and received all the love a human being can give. 😻
Kath, Alex, Dilly, Sherlock, and Bramble, thank you. Thank you a thousand times. You deserve the best in this world and you will forever remain in our memories, with great affection and gratitude.
We hope we can come back one day, work for you again, and squeeze gently Bramble once again 🥰😍
PS: Alex saved us on the last day, we had already bought all the tickets and everything was ready to go, but the taxi was canceled at 00:35 and we were desperate because Uber doesn't work very well there. So Alex decided to give us a last-minute ride, really early, and without that, we wouldn't have made it. It was so gentle! You are amazing man! 👊🏼
