Hey everybody!
Im Bertram, and from Denmark, currently living in Aarhus. I love to travel, and have visited many different places and people. I find great excitement in challenging myself to new experiences and evolving out of my comfort zone.
I have lived in Denmark, Scotland, New York and Mozambique, so i am used to settling into a new atmosphere and culture.
I graduated from Gymnasium (equivalent to a mix of High School and College) in 2022, and have been working and travelling ever since. My latest trip was through South Korea, Mongolia, China and then to the Kaukasus region, which i will cherish with me, as the countries had the biggest contrast to anything i have experienced before. In 2024 i did 4 months of military service, which is the Danish basic military training. Here i found several positives with being outdoors from early sunrise, and having physical challenges.
I love to hike, and have always enjoyed the outdoors in any format - hiking, camping, or exploring etc. This is one of the aspects of workaway that reeled me in, as it seems that most hosts on this platform offer opportunities which include work in the outdoors/nature.
I have a deep love for sport, especially Football, and will have long conversations with anyone about the significance of the English top division - with Manchester United as main focus:). I also play a bit of guitar, and come from a family that plays music from sunrise to late into the night including anything from Bon Iver, Bob Dylan and Aretha Franklin to Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean and Radiohead.

I have 3 years of experience working in a Cafe, and have developed great work ethics and attitude. Besides the Cafe, i have done numerous jobs, and odd jobs (warehouse, handyman, social worker, and caretaker of youth in difficult circumstances).
I can keep a cool mind in stressfull situations, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks. I can work in teams and on my own, and try to adapt as quickly as possible to a givin routine.
I am physically fit, as i work out, do weightraining, run, swim, have boxed and played alot of football. I have worked various jobs where being fit and able to do physical tasks were a necessity.
