  • Description

G'day! I'm Bente and happy that you are reading my profile right now.

I come from Germany and am currently doing my master's degree in clinical psychology and psychotherapy.

Within the last years I traveled and lived in several countries (among those, in Australia and Japan for a longer period of time).
Travelling - including diving into other ways of living, getting to know people from other countries and cultures, learning and getting to practice other languages - is a passion that I am very grateful to have discovered and to be able to live.
I have also been volunteering at an NGO for a bit more than two months, supporting female refugees in Thessaloniki, Greece. The encounters with the women and connections to other volunteers there enriched and taught me a lot. It also motivates me to continue helping at an NGO working with refugees when I'll be back in Germany.

Generally, I am a nature-loving person. I love to be outside, surrounded by nature, and going on hikes. I am awed by the stunning nature that exists in this world and hope to have the chances of still experiencing even more of it.

I am happy to try out many different works and am a quick learner, so even if I haven´t done the things yet that you'd like to be done, I am eager to try them out and learn ;)
It is actually also a goal that I have set to myself for the next few years, that I want to improve my craft(wo)mansship! :)

What else to say about me... I would describe myself as pretty relaxed. I love to sing, have deep conversations, go for a walk/on a hike, read & be surrounded by nature, animals and lovely people.

I am open for new experiences and eager to get to know more inspiring people on my way - as there are so many chances of mutual and cultural enrichment when you experience moments with others :)

For me, the workaway community is a perfect way to do all this and hopefully make some friends along the way :)

Aaaand as you are reading this right now:
I wish you a wonderful and happy day! ☀️

  • More details about your skills

As side jobs, I worked in the kitchen of a restaurant (as a kitchen hand), in some supermarkets, and i different tutoring and research jobs at my university.
In Australia, I worked on a blueberry farm for two months as well :)
During my volunteering stay in Greece this year (2024), I also gave German lessons (among other things).
Through workaway, I already worked as an au pair for around 3 months, helped with some gardening work and with animals as well, in different locations around Australia and Japan.

I am a fast learner, organised, animal loving, friendly and trustworthy :)

And as I already stated above, I am eager to broaden and strengthening my skills!!
