Description
I'm a queer artist and activist, based in Berlin trans communities and spending as much time as possible in the surrounding ecological farm projects, trying to learn more about permaculture. As I am in between jobs at the moment (have been working in the German parliament as a political advisor for some years), I enjoy my free time, writing stories and songs and dreaming of a workaway.
My biggest strenghts are my resilience, my loving heart, my honesty and my talent to make friends everywhere I go. I am a people person and have been living, working and thriving in communities all my life. At the same time, I enjoy being alone and traveling by myself; the quiet moments when the creativity starts to flow, or when the distance allows me to recalibrate my life and follow my dreams.
I've had quite a rough last year and would love to spend the upcoming winter in a place that is warm and sunny and full of amazingly beautiful nature. As a vegan and an aspiring farm worker (planning with some friends to start our own queer commune next year, fingers crossed), I would love to learn more about permaculture and living with different animals without exploiting them for their bodies or labor. After having spent a year with work and travel in Australia (15 years ago), I have always regretted not having visited Aotearoa. I would love to learn the Māori ways of living with the land, as I strongly believe that humanity could learn all we need to lessen the devastating effects of the climate crisis and so much more, when listening to the teachings of indigenous peoples and joining their struggles in solidarity.

More details about your skills
I'm a hands on person and enjoy physical labour of all sorts. At the same time, I come with a lot of skills concerning community decision making, mediation and conflict resolution. I am very good at assessing tasks and working independently, while knowing when to stop and ask for help or guidance. I don't have much experience in working and living with larger animals, but I do have already learned quite a bit of permacultural teachings, growing herbs and vegetables, building compost toilets and such. Cooking, baking or preparing vegan food for many people is my forte. I am easily exited and a quick learner, with a big smile and a sunny attitude.

What else ...
Crocheting is my new favourite pastime :) I can teach some basic stitches and love to get all nerdy about it with other crafty people. Also, I love to read queer sci fi and body horror novels - another nerdy interest of mine.
