Hi, I'm Ben! I grew up in Geelong and finished high school in 2023, which marked the beginning of an adventure in learning and living life to the fullest.

In 2024 I completed a pre-apprenticeship before heading overseas for a Workaway experience in Italy — immersing myself in a new culture for 5 weeks and picking up hands-on skills along the way. That trip lit a fire in me to keep growing.

Back in Australia in 2025, I made the leap from Geelong to Byron Bay to begin my electrical apprenticeship — a big move that's been just as much about personal growth as it is about trade skills. I've been continuing that apprenticeship into 2026, and I'm excited to be planning a trip to Japan while also looking to pick up some carpentry skills.

I've played basketball my whole life and surfing holds just as big a place in my world. Whether I'm on the court or in the water, staying active keeps me grounded and connected. I'm a hands-on learner who thrives when I can contribute, whether that's on a worksite or in a new country. My drive to keep improving pushes me to make the most of every experience life throws my way.

I speak English fluently and am learning Spanish. I have worked at a local retail store for 4 years and have been exposed to many scenarios that have given me experience in cash handling, customer interactions, product handling, leadership and being on time. I take pride in doing things to the best of my ability whilst learning from my mistakes and acting in a kind, passionate and curious manner.

I love to read especially books on the topic of philosophy. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family but am looking forward to testing myself and getting outside of my comfort zone.
