Description
Hi! We're Becca and Kendra and we're both new to Workaway! We used to live and work in Seattle, Washington but we started traveling the world in June 2023. As Workawayers, we spent the month of July with a family in France, and September-October with another family in England. We are looking forward to our next Workaway, meeting new people, and experiencing a new culture.

About Becca: I'm a certified high school English teacher with 10 years of experience. I also play guitar, so I'm happy to share music and stories with others. I love to cook and I although I typically eat meat, I am also able to adopt a vegetarian diet. I enjoy good conversation, quiet activities like reading and hiking, and exploring new restaurants & neighborhoods.

About Kendra: I grew up in Prague, Brussels, and Seattle, and I speak English and French. I also picked up Indonesian when I lived in Yogyakarta for a year teaching English. My most recent job was in education advocacy for work-based learning but have worn many hats these past few years! For fun, I enjoy hiking and paddle boarding, working in the garden, playing cards and board games, cooking and baking, and laughing around a fire. I’m a curious person and love learning new skills (and languages!) and helping out wherever I can.

As Workawayers, there are several services we're excited to offer to hosts: gardening, household chores, childcare, cooking meals, grocery shopping and other errands, English language tutoring/practice, and light construction/maintenance work.

These girls helped so hard, and were also so much fun!! They sanded and stained our outdoor furniture and stained the pool deck - the house is now looking SWISH!! We had so many laughs - we really wish they could have stayed longer. If you get a chance to host these two and you love laughter around the home say YES if they ask!

Kim was a lovely host - she clearly communicated the tasks she was looking for help with and was considerate of our space and time in Auckland.
