When I participated in the event of Zazen at a temple in Tokyo, I met a French woman who introduced me “workaway.” I have been interested in this since then, and now I believe I am ready to spend the time as a workawayer. As a person who raised and lived in the urban area, Tokyo in Japan, I have been eager to live with nature these years. I think this is because I get tired of being surrounded by inorganic buildings, and I miss the environment, less the artificial space. Whenever I have time, I have been to places such as parks and mountains with full of plants and nature which make me feel good.

Ayaka is an amazing worker, reliable and customer oriented.
We would recommend her for any kind of Job/help, she is suitable in every kind of position that requires direct contact with people and she is a perfect bilingual , able to speak English as good as Japanese

I was staying here for about a week in August. Unfortunately, I could not welcome too many guests because of the weather and unusual situation in the world. 投稿が大変遅くなりました。ごめんなさい。WorkawayとWWOOFの併用で東京を出発し、3か所目の場所としてこちらに1ヵ月滞在しました。到着当初はそのワイルドさに動揺し、かなり不安でした。しかし美しい山々や滝、人、鳥、犬、猫、ねずみ、虫と共存するホスト家族は、ジブリの世界にいるような愛情と生命力に溢れていました。特に一番長くお世話になったHiroさんは、好奇心と観察力の塊で寛容的な方です。様々な事象について自分なりの見解があり、それを言語化するのもとても上手です。奥さんのMikiさんは、ジーンズと白Tシャツの似合う褒め上手な方です。都会でずっと育ってきた人には特に、新たな知見が得られ学びの多い経験が出来ると思います。同じ国の人であるにもかかわらず、カルチャーショックに似た体験が多々ありました。今後のAkariちゃんやSakaeくん、そして果樹や建築中のお家の様子が楽しみです。最後に、次のホストに向けて、山口ビールとソーセージを持たせてくれて、ありがとうございました。隠岐の島のホスト（Frankさん：ビールを飲むと顔が真っ赤になります）は本当に嬉しそうにしていました。不器用なので数々の失敗をしてしまったけれど、色々なことをやらせてくれてありがとうございました。バニラモナカ、カフェオレ、背脂豚骨カップラーメンは時々にしてね。良いお年をお迎えください。
After I left Tokyo deciding to do Workaway and WWOOF, I stayed here for a month as the third destination. Honestly, I was overwhelmed by the wildness of the house and the environment there. However, the host family who live with birds, dogs, mice, cats, insects, were also surrounded by beautiful mountains and waterfalls, turned out to be extremely lovely people. They are heartful and lively which remind me of the people from Studio Ghibli movies. Especially, Hiro-san, who I have spent most of my time with, was genuine and had a plethora of curiosity as well as deep insights. He had his own ideas about several matters about the world and is good at expressing them. Miki-san, his wife, looks good in jeans and a white T-shirt, she often gives compliments and is a kind person. If you grew up in a city just like me, I am sure that it will spark within you an interesting inspiration as well as expose you to unique experiences. I hope all workawayers can and will in the future spend a good time there as well.

(A place to experience ...)
I stayed here for about three weeks in March and April as the first destination of Workaway. Because I am a city girl raised in Tokyo, the environment here was breathtaking. Stunning. I enjoyed lunchtime that had a lot of vegetables, a clean house, as well as kind people. It would have improved greatly if I met more Workawayers though. ありがとうございました！
