Hi there! I’m Ava, 18 years old and a recent high school graduate from Germany with a big love for Canada, people, and new experiences!

In 2022, I had the chance to do an exchange year in Canada, and I completely fell in love with the country, the people and the landscapes. That’s why I’m so excited to return this year through Workaway and spend a few months exploring more, meeting locals, and giving back through volunteering.

A little about me:

I just finished high school in July and am taking a gap year before university.

I play the harp and a little bit of piano!

I’m a huge animal lover! They always have a special place in my heart.

I enjoy staying active and like to play tennis in my free time.

I also enjoy kayaking and hiking.

Whether it’s helping around the house, spending time with animals, or getting involved in small projects, I’m ready to bring a positive attitude and a helping hand.

We loved having Ava to stay . She is friendly and polite and has a great grasp of english so followed instructions well. She is a good worker and she is organised which was great for my kitchen! She loves animals and is practical too. We would recommend her to any host

I stayed with Louise and Bruce from the end of January until the middle of February and had a really lovely time on their beautiful property.

I stayed for almost three weeks while she was mostly away on vacation, and she trusted me to care for her dog, her partner’s cat, and the household.
