  • Description

Hi everyone! After hearing and knowing so many people on Workaway I finally decided to join this community! I will be headed to Norway in two weeks where I plan on volunteering at different places, going up north little by little. My end goal is Svalbard!

I am a thrill seeker as some people might say, and so far I'm loving it. Being always on the lookout for new adventures and crazy opportunities has obviously led to a plethora of really good stories (which led me to have good narrating skills), and I hope that joining Workaway will lead to even more crazy and wholesome stories (I prefer avoiding bad experiences you know 😅)

My mom made me realise that my preferred travel stories are always centered around people. I'll always tell her crazy stories in a place where I met this person and then we embarked on this journey together and then we met that other person who offered… Every. Time! It was just a matter of time before I decided to conquer Workaway :D

This is not the first community I'm joining. I've been on Couchsurfing for the past 2 years and have met a lot of people that way. Here is the link to my profile, there's plenty plenty more to read about me over there (spoiler alert, it might be considered too much haha) and you can see my references!

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I'll maybe see you around! Cheers 🤗

  • More details about your skills

The fun thing about my profile is that I have a variety of experience in many fields, whether it is in creative fields (like arts and crafts) or in intellectual ones (like law, in which I have a degree) or physical one (I really like bike packing or many other sports).

A big thing about me is that I dare a lot. I'm a fervent follower of hitchhiking and Couchsurfing (as mentioned before hihi). This willingness to put myself out there has led to being good at public speaking (I participated twice in a Model United Nations), theater (I participated in various theater plays, the last one being the theater play of my previous university) and I am very fond of improvisation theater!

I have a surprising easiness when learning languages. My total is currently 6 languages (French, Dutch, English, Spanish, German and Chinese). For the sake of coming to Norway for a couple of months I started learning Norwegian a little over a month ago. I hope I'll be able to put to the test my skills in Norwegian!

As said before, I am a very creative individual. This is true in the literal sense: I have had 6 years of sewing lessons and I still sew on my own; I've done a lot more creative activities but not for as long as I sewing. In the other sense, I am creative when it comes to managing and living my day-to-day life: I am creative when managing my time and when planning how I'm going to make all my activities fit in the time I have at hand. My creativity is also of excellent use for my problem-solving ability; ability I had to use almost everyday for the past year and a half, after obtaining my bachelor's degree in law.

All of this makes that I am highly adaptable and can learn extremely quickly (even quicker than what you're thinking right now). I'd like to get even more experience in manual labour (renovating, electricity, plumbing, mechanics, farm work), a wish that made me realise Couchsurfing wouldn't be giving me what I want in Norway and that I needed to get started on Workaway.

  • What else ...

I have discovered a great interest in board games that replicate escape rooms (a famous brand of them is Unlock). I would also greatly be interested in learning more about crocheting and learn how to knit. Other than that, I feel like I've already said everything that was important :)
