  • Description

    Hello there!
I'm August, an archaeologist from the Swedish west coast who thrives in the great outdoors. Working with cultural heritage is close to my heart because it benefits local communities, preserves cultural traditions, and, above all, contributes to humanity's collective memory.

What I enjoy most in life is playing music and spending as much time as possible in nature, whether it's hiking, camping, going on motorcycle rides, or being with animals. Traveling, meeting new people, discovering new places, and learning about their secrets greatly motivates me.

I hope to see you soon!

  • More details about your skills

Nearly spending all my free time hiking and/or camping. I love to bring a hammock, a portable fireplace, a book, and spend all day by a lake. I am calm, reliable, a quick learner, curious, and I thrive in physical work.

My education is focused on archaeology/history with a broad set of skills and knowledge developed through the years. 3D and digital documentation, ability to analyze ceramics, lithics, and bones. Knowledge to read and georeference historic maps and trace human development in a landscape. Extensive experience in field studies in Sweden and Greece including excavations and surveys.

    Previous Occupations:
Logistics coordinator and delivery manager for home delivery of groceries to the elderly. Collaboration with the Swedish home care service.
Test driver for Zenseact. The work involved data collection to develop self-driving vehicles. This was carried out through extensive expeditions in Europe and Japan. In addition to driving, I was team leader for my fleet, where logistics and scheduling were among the areas of responsibility.

    Bonus Facts:
Experience of working on a farm with 7 horses for approximately 9 years. This included taking care of the horses, cleaning and fixing things around the farm. Building fences, digging ditches, laying down waterpipes, preparing land for new pastures among many things. I'm not afraid to getting my hands dirty. Been riding horses for the same amount of time. Grew up with cats and lived in a household with dogs for 10 years.

  • What else ...

I'm a huge music lover. I've been a drummer for more than 20 years, know a bit of guitar, harmonica and piano and would love to learn new instruments.
I listen to everything from heavy metal to country. Best artists you ask? It's an constantly evolving answer but The Beatles, Marty Robbins, Ennio Morricone and Judas Priest. Finding new songs or artist that give me goosebumps is one of the best things in life.
