Hey there, I'm Atefeh, and let me tell you, traveling is my ultimate passion!

Honesty is my character.

My story started after diving into electromechanical engineering and exploring various industries, I realized something was missing in my life. Despite having a comfortable lifestyle, I wasn't truly happy. Then, in 2020, illness struck, and with the support of my friend Ionela, I began my journey to recovery. Soon after I made a bold decision to step into a new beginning: I left my job, bid Belgium farewell, and headed to Sweden. But even after ten months, I found myself yearning for something more fulfilling. It dawned on me that the corporate world wasn't where I belonged. But what did I want instead? That question led me to embark on a soul-searching adventure.

In August 2021, I followed my instincts and embarked on a journey through the Middle East, exploring countries like Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon. I relied on apps like WorkAway and Couchsurfing to connect with locals and even tried hitchhiking, meeting incredible people along the way.

By Jan 2023, I returned to Europe with a newfound perspective. I began searching for ecovillage communities, seeking a more purposeful way of life.

And now, here I am in Italy, embracing this beautiful opportunity to immerse myself in different lifestyles and mindsets. I live in an eco village called Gaia Terra for seven months and its been an wonderful self growth.

Through this journey, I've come to realize that the more I learn, the more I understand how much I have yet to discover. It's a journey of healing, both for myself and for the world, as I seek to contribute meaningfully to something greater than myself.
