Hi, fancy meeting you here, reading my profile. Hope you enjoy learning more about me.
Where to start? My name is António, 31, and while I originally come from the exotic land of Portugal, I've also spent some time living in Japan and quite some in Germany. I enjoy languages and have a big list of languages I'd like to be fluent in before I die, but I might not make it. But that to say, that I'll always make an effort to learn a bit of any language I come into contact with and I am always happy to help others with the languages I know.
My journey in life hasn't been a straight path. I studied electrical engineering and worked as a software engineer for a couple of years, but felt a drive to leave and search for something else that called for me more than engineering. I got certified as a professional coach and have been helping people understand themselves better and align their lives with how they want to live.
Despite helping others do this, this last year I have been feeling a bit lost myself and am currently on a soul searching mission.
I enjoy psychology, understanding people, meditation and the outdoors. I've done 2 vypassana 10 day silent meditation retreats,so I can also enjoy silence and solitude.
I've always felt attracted to the idea of gardening and growing your own food, as well as DIY and small building projects, but I've never done much of any to have any skills. What I can offer is a strong desire to learn, and fortunately for my younger self in school, I've airways been a faster learner.
Have no children, but lived with 2 young girls for a couple of years during a past relationship. I usually get along with children very well because I enjoy playing with them. No matter the language barrier, from my experience it is always easy to have fun with children. Only had dogs as pets in my past, not much experience with farm animals, but enjoy the company of all animals as well. I particularly like goats and crows! Weird, I know.

More details about my language interests
Enjoy learning and talking to people in their native language. I can easily talk in Spanish and German, but still need much practice to be more comfortable and fluent. Lived 3 months in Japan and visited the country a total of 3 times. I used to be able to have simple conversions, but now I'm a bit rusty.
