Description
Hey there, we're a couple in our early 30s, taking a gap year in Europe!

Arad - I'm 34 year old, with a Master degree in tourism and hospitality managing. My previous job was a tour operator to New Zealand, and since the Covid-19 pandemic I worked as a book shop manager back home, so it's an understatement to say I enjoy reading. Mostly Sci-fi and fantasy but any good read will be appreciated. I love Hiking and the outdoors, DIY, driving in the outback and to travel to new and exciting places. I used to plan trips to New Zealand and still wish to find my way back to this magical country.

Hadas - I'm 32 years old, and I've just finished my 4 years of Physiotherapy studies (B.PT) and I love everything about the human body and how to make people feel better - that's why I'm also a gym & Pilates instructor. Besides that, snuggling with a good book is my perfect afternoon, and I also enjoy photography, video editing, website developing and anything that has to do with designing stuff.

Sam (our dog) - I'm 7 years old and I'm very cute, very fluffy, very loveable. My fur is soft and I have the cutest eyes :) I'm well behaved, quiet and mostly spend my days snoring on the couch, getting more fat and sniff everything on my walks. I will bring you joy, comfort and love.

We've stayed with 4 workaway-hosts so far, and our experience includes:
* Work on farms - taking care of animals (sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, mini pigs, dogs), gardening, DIY, maintenance, driving a small tractor and general farm work.
* Working in a camping site - preparing the campsite for summer.
* Hospitality - housekeeping, gardening, DIY, maintenance, catering, social media and general work.

We are both very handy, creative and not afraid of labor. We used to paint a lot our furniture at home and although we didn't build much stuff we learn quickly.
Our cooking skills are very good, and also cleaning, organizing, moving (we had that a lot), manual work and we're both good with pets.
Arad has a lot of experience in management, booking, payments, storage, finance and human relations.
Hadas has a lot of experience with instructing groups, physical therapy, planning/ organizing/ financing, office work and has many computer skills.

We are big fans of Harry Potter, Lord of the rings, Marvel, Disney and all the geek stuff.
Probably our favorite board game will be Code Names or Settlers of Catan. But we really love any board game that comes across our way.
Arad plays the drums, Ukulele and Kalimba.

We spent 3 weeks with Dieter and Patricia on their magical farm and we had an amazing time there!

We stayed at the campsite for 3 weeks during April, preparing it for the season, and we couldn't ask for more charming people and place!
We mostly cleared the campsite from leaves and branches but also had tasks like cleaning, orginizong the store, driving the tractor and trailer, painting and moving old logs.

Our time in the farm was by far the best experience we could have asked for! Originally we planned to come for 3 weeks only but we had such a great time that we ended up staying for 6 weeks. Kim & Sebastian are such nice people, with a big and open heart and we felt we had a click with them from the first moment. This was our first workaway and we… read more had the most luck when Kim contacted us - I really think other workaway hosts cannot get any better. We won the lottery of workaway hosts :)
The jobs we did varied and were super fun and special for us - we've built a lot of stuff, cleaned the animals' shelters, prepared the garden for spring, worked with lots (and lots) of wood, painted things, helped with the rental, worked with many new tools... It was all super fun! To be honest, we didn't feel like we're working, just hanging out and helping a friend around. We also fed the animals in the morning and the afternoon, and took out Baska the dog on walks in the beautiful fields here. There are chickens, ducks, sheep, guinea pigs, cats, dog and soon also donkeys! Just a beautiful farm with a lot of nice corners to hang out in the sunny days.
And don't get me started on Kim's cooking... She made such great meals, exposed us to traditional and international food and she really really really cooks amazing. Gregor and Oscar ended up being our best friends and we learned a lot of German words thanks to Gregor (but Popo Chips is not one of them...).
The dynamic with Kim and Sebastian was always very open and honest, Kim always made sure we are comfortable with the work we're doing and thanked us for everything - never taking our work for granted. She is really a wonder woman that can pretty much do anything, including opening jars ;) Always with a smile and good vibes!
We ate together and spend the time talking, playing games or playing music but also we had time for ourselves, to rest and travel around. There are cute towns around, a beautiful park and just driving around in the scenery is amazing.
The room is also very comfortable, and we had everything we needed.
If you're wondering whether or not to come, don't - send Kim a message cause it's really a fun place, full of creativity, humor, cute animals (the guinea pigs!) and opportunities for great experiences. Kim & Sebastian helped us so much with our car and had wonderful ideas for it with a great touch for design, and always very generous! They helped us with getting around and just being there with and for us for whatever we needed.
Thank you Kim and Sebastian for letting us join you in your cool and unique lives and we're sure we'll come visit!
Hope to stay in touch, no matter where we are! We'll miss you <3 <3 <3
