Currently, we are living the digital-nomad ''van life'', exploring Europe with our campervan and hopping from Workaway to Workaway while working online (part time).

Description

Hi there!

We are Annie and Emiel (couple, 29 years old) from the Netherlands. We are explorers and adventurers, curious and open-minded human beings, and we feel highly connected to nature and all living things that surround us. We enjoy being physically active and have a broad interest in all kinds of sports ranging from volleyball, soccer, and mountain biking to surfing, snowboarding, and hiking. For something slightly more relaxing, we like to cook, read, listen to music and simply chill out, be in the present moment, and enjoy each other’s company.

Over time, we've become increasingly interested in the environment and the impact that we have on this beautiful planet, and we therefore are keen to learn more about self-sufficiency and permaculture.
We have been travelling through Europe in our van for over a year and we helped in several WorkAway projects along the way where we got to learn more about gardening, permaculture, farm animals, cooking, general building, and much more.

Right now, we are looking for a place in the snowy mountains to spend the winter there, help out with a project, and improve our snowboarding skills. Feel free to hit us up if you have anything for us :)

Emiel has a background in Business Administration and has worked in recruitment, tourism, and hospitality. He currently works for a travel company that organizes trips throughout Eastern and Southern Africa. Annie has a background in Psychology and has worked in education, healthcare, and retail. She is currently looking for a new remote job - preferably in sustainability or psychology.

During the past year we've travelled around and joined several WorkAway projects where we got to use our hands on pruning trees, digging tree trenches, making biochar, tending a veggie garden, looking after animals (chickens, ducks, sheep, dogs, donkeys, pigs), and more. We are by no means professionals but we tend to see ourselves as highly adaptive, fast-learning, solution-oriented people, and physically fit. So give us a task or project and we’ll dig in with all we’ve got and won’t rest until the job is done! To quote Pippi Longstocking: "I have never tried that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that!"
