I grew up in the Norfolk countryside in England. I went to uni for two years in Sheffield then moved to Norwich after I dropped out. I spent a few years working in a sugar factory during the winter and travelling during the summer. I decided that I no longer wanted to work at the sugar factory and am trying to find out what to do with my life. Since then I have worked as a chef in a hotel, a porter in a chateau and as a carer in a care home. I have a very wide range of experience and skills.
I am self motivated and see workaway as a learning opportunity and cultural exchange. I am the kind of person whom always likes to try new things and learn new skills. I like to be outside in nature and have spent a lot of time volunteering with the WWOOF organisation. I don't need too many creature comforts. I am interested in the environment and sustainable living.
My current mission is to move to Dublin and to start working as a chef. Cooking is my passion and I love cooking and creating dishes for other people.
I have been to over 20 farms with the wwoof organisation and joined a wide range of activities doing this. I have done the normal growing tasks of sewing, planting, weeding and harvesting but also grafting, caring for animals, woodwork, DIY and many random tasks. I love cooking and hope to be a chef one day.
In my spare time I play the drums and enjoy discovering new music. I like running and keeping fit. I like playing board and card games, reading and watching tv. I also volunteer in an Oxfam shop when I am in my hometown.
