I am a recent university graduate (and recently married :) and looking for a unique opportunity with my wife to travel the world and experience new cultures. I have a degree in Psychology and Political Science. I have experience working as a Forest Firefighter, a landscape and construction worker as well as professional experience as an Associate Advisor in Insurance. I love meeting new people, staying busy and problem solving!

Both myself (Andrew) and my wife Erica have experience working in multiple different fields which has provided us the opportunity to have a wide range of skills at our disposal! I have experience as a firefighter, a construction worker, and in landscape design. I also have experience working in multiple customer service roles like serving and sales. These roles have provided me with skills like hard work, problem solving, communication and more. Erica also has experience landscaping and in general labor and spent two summers tree planting in Northern Ontario. She has experiencing waitressing and working at a wedding venue during university. She also has an interest in baking/cooking and crafting, and currently works as a physiotherapy assistant for the past two years.

Andrew and Erica have been my best Workaway experience so far!

They have made an incredible amount of progress in my garden. I had prepared plenty of tasks for their stay, and they completed most of them.

They were able to work independently, even when I wasn't around, and they managed their workload extremely well. I could leave them on their … read more own for days, and the work would still be done perfectly.

They did gardening, chopped wood, built a raised garden bed, collected the grass clippings after mowing, built wooden fences for my vegetable gardens, weeded the garden, built a brick fireplace, improved the garden tap area, handled the dirty job of removing construction waste, dug a huge hole for my future outdoor shower, moved soil with a wheelbarrow, cleaned the many windows of the house, and much more.

The weather was extremely hot during their stay, but they still worked hard outside every day without complaining.

They are a very reliable, cheerful, kind, and friendly young couple. They took excellent care of my seven cats whenever I wasn't home, and they genuinely loved them, which was very reassuring for me.

It was very easy to get along with them because their daily routine was always predictable. They got up at the same time every day and consistently stuck to the agreed working hours. They worked from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. every day and had dinner at 6 p.m., which made my own days very easy to plan.

They were always in a good mood—happy, cheerful, funny, helpful, and great company to talk to. They also respected the house rules and always left the kitchen clean after cooking and eating.

I was happy that they could also enjoy themselves after work by visiting the nearby pub, walking to the lake, cycling to the castle in the next village, picking cherries from the trees, and exploring the area.

We also had a wonderful time together: making bonfires in the garden under the full moon, visiting my friends and enjoying garden parties, spending time with my parents and brother over a big family lunch, and even taking a trip to Budapest, where we stayed overnight at a friend's place.

All in all, I cannot imagine a better Workaway couple than Andrew and Erica. I cannot thank them enough for the tremendous amount of help they gave me in the garden and for the calm, positive energy they brought into my home.

I hope I will have Workawayers like them again in the future, although I know it won't be easy to find another couple like them.

I wish them both all the luck and happiness in the world for their future!
