Since June 24 to May 25 I am caring for a house and garden in Umbria. But there is still some time left for exploring the area or even to help other workawayers or workaway hosts if help is needed.

Description

After playing the bassoon professionally and teaching young students and groups of musicians for a very long time, I would now like to discover and explore new possibilities of working together with other people and hosts not only in Germany. Also I do have the idea, that not commercial working may be even more interesting and sense-giving for me and the energies may flow easier and better on all sides. I am now 62 years old, but I feel still powerful and ready to start an active second life after my wonderful life as professional classical musician and teacher. I speak English, a little Italian and German as mother language.

As I studied in Manchester for one year when I was young, and I was always teaching in my profession, I could imagine to teach English for beginners and intermediate level. German is my mother language, the Italian language I would like to improve my beginner level.

As a professional bassoon player I at first have manual skills in reed building for my instrument during many years. In addition to this I always have been interested in repairing and maintaining things turning up in my life, so I could often help my friends and family to save a lot of trouble and also money doing it myself. My life as teacher brought me together with young students 5 to 25 years of age over the last 35 years. So I´m also quite experienced in aspects of education and working with young people.
I´m very interested to learn new kinds of work, so I´m curious which kinds of sense-making work is crossing my life yet.

What else ...

What I very much like is cycling, walking, swimming and all of this not only for 20 minutes.
Also I always liked to travel as simple as possible (tent, roof tent on the car, camping bus) without much luxury but therefore a lot of nature feeling. I like cooking and have fun to choose good ingredients of high quality therefore.
I started taking singing lessons last Year and did have a lot of fun with singing in a small choir as a bass.
