  • Description

    Hello!

I strive to deepen connections to people, earth, and spirit. I love to play outside, especially rock climbing and backpacking. I'm a founding member of the Sparkle Souls Art Collective, a group committed to building community and inspiring change through creativity. I'm a certified death doula who aims to face both living and dying with an open heart and am currently creating my next book: The Inspired Guide to Dying, a state-by-state guide to end-of-life planning and options. I host workshops--An Invitation to Inspired Dying--designed to help people plan for and find peace around their end of life. This summer I'm taking the Inspired Dying workshops on the road...maybe see you there!

I’m a published author and work as a writer and editor, and have worked as a rock climbing guide and mountain bike guide in the past. I love making art and encouraging others to create, and publish a quarterly zine--sparklezine--showcasing art for the people by the people. (Check it out at www.sparklezine.com!)

Home has always been where my friends are. Sharing responsibilities and adventures with my network of soul family is of utmost importance to me. I prioritize time and experiences over money and material gain and work in service to others and the planet. I believe Interdependent communities can help us break free from the destructive, soulless capitalist machine. I’m building the exact life I want, where I truly belong, by making meaningful choices about how to spend my time and efforts. My goals include building a home that honors the earth as our mother and stopping my participation in the destruction of natural resources, and creating a self-sufficient community that actively dismantles systems of oppression.

    Thank you for reading this!

  • More details about your skills

I spent many years waiting tables, so can hustle on my feet and multitask. :) I've worked as a writer and editor for 20 years, and am good at organizing and seeing projects through to the end.

I've been a care giver to kids, elderly, and dying people. I love animals and have had experience with light farm work, tending chickens, sheep, goats, and cattle.

I've led workshops using art as an integrative tool for emotional healing and spiritual discovery, on harnessing the power of adventure to heal, and on inspired dying. I've hosted a quarterly open-mic-style art share since 2015.

I like helping with house projects and have experience painting, roofing, drywall, demo, fence building, and stone wall building. I've volunteered as a trail builder/maintainer. I don't have a green thumb, but I love taking directions to prune, weed, harvest, water, etc.

I'm a fast learner and I like getting dirty.
