I am Alice and I am now travelling in Central Asia. I am willing to meet local people and share cultures. Also looking for travel buddies or people on the way!

Hello there!

I am a chemist specializing in sustainability. I quit my job four years ago to start travelling and volunteering. Now, I have a different lifestyle—I work seasonally during the winter as an outdoor guide in Lapland (Finland) and spend the summer exploring new opportunities. I've worked among others as a receptionist, waitress, lifeguard and camp instructor

I am an adventurer who loves nature, rural life, and embracing the unknown. I'm friendly and open-minded, always eager to socialise and meet new people and cultures. I appreciate the peace and quiet of small places. I love getting lost in nature and discovering new landscapes. Watching the sunset is probably one of my favourite things in the world. I don’t like crowded and touristic places, I would rather enjoy diving into local culture and traditions.

I am also an animal lover! I have been around farm animals since a very young age because I attended summer camps for several years.

I've done Workaway several times across Europe and Asia, taking on diverse tasks such as construction and repair work, animal care, harvesting, housekeeping, childcare, English lessons, and working in a local shop.

I am highly adaptable and versatile, ready to take on almost any task. Even if I don’t have prior experience with something. I am always eager to learn! :)

We both have experience working on farms and in agriculture. Alice has worked on farms around the world, helping with both animals and crops, and she enjoys learning different farming techniques in each place. Ana grew up in the countryside, so being close to nature, animals, and rural life has always been part of her everyday life. We're hard-working and comfortable with physical tasks, whether it’s feeding animals, gardening, or harvesting.

In addition, we have a background in tourism, so we’re outgoing, used to working with people, and know how to make guests feel welcome. We've lived in different countries and love cultural exchange—meeting new people, sharing experiences, and learning about new ways of life is something we truly value.

We spent a wonderful week with Tak and his family. We helped out around 2–3 hours a day, doing a variety of tasks like cutting bamboo, feeding the chickens, and helping with the crops and greenhouse. The work was enjoyable and not too demanding.

I stayed at Tara's home for one and a half weeks. It takes around 6h from Kathmandú to arrive. He was quite nice and he arranged a ride directly to his place with a local bus driver so that I didn't have to worry.
