Hi! My name is Alma, I am 21 years old and come from Denmark. I am in my second sabbatical after finishing Gymnasium, which I have mainly spent traveling and working. I have worked in the restaurant industry since I was 14, and now have experience in organizing events and doing PR for a Danish clothing brand. This has given me strong skills in service, planning and collaboration, and I am used to adapting to new situations and taking action where needed.
I love to be active and spend a lot of my free time riding, hiking and climbing (bouldering). In addition, I like both music and cooking, and I always look forward to experiencing and sharing new culinary traditions and musical cultures.

My motivation for being on Workaway is to develop new skills and learn about different cultures directly from people who have practical experience in their field.
I am open to learning and helping with anything you need - whether it is physical work, animal care, gardening or anything else.

Service and cooking: With several years of experience in the restaurant industry , I have built strong service skills and an understanding of guest handling. I thrive on creating a good atmosphere, am used to working in a hectic environment and ensure that both guests and colleagues feel comfortable. In addition, I have also worked in the kitchen and would love to help with cooking.

Event planning and PR: In my current work with event organization and PR for a Danish clothing brand, I have developed skills in project management, communication and planning. I am organized, efficient and used to coordinating various tasks and actors.

Collaboration and flexibility: My work has taught me the value of teamwork and flexibility. I adapt easily to new situations and work well with others, while respecting others' experience and expertise.

Language skills: I speak fluent English and Danish and am in the process of learning Portuguese, which I practice and improve continuously. I enjoy learning new languages ​​and adapt easily to new cultural environments. In addition, I would be happy to teach the languages ​​I speak.
