Currently, we are working at a campsite in rural Kent, and in October we will be starting our next big adventure for a month: The Baltics to the Balkans!

Description

Hi there, we are Allie (29) and Sally (50) - Mother & daughter, travel buddies and the best of friends! Since 2020, we have fully embraced the nomadic lifestyle and have been travelling, hiking and working across the globe since! It’s been a fantastic experience.

Some of our best experiences so far:

- Hiking and camping 330 miles of the long distance ‘South West Coast Path’
- Working in a busy bar and restaurant at the foot of Scotland’s largest mountain Ben Nevis
- Running a successful craft business for years (our biggest flex; getting stocked in Brooklyn Museum!)
- Slow travelling and eating our way through South East Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia)
- Spending 2 months living with a Balinese family and their pug 'Puggy' just outside of Ubud.
- Working for a year in Australia (Allie) then the duo was again reunited as we travelled through New Zealand for 6 months!
- Managing campsites in rural Kent and on a remote island in New Zealand

In her free time, Allie enjoys being creative and learning new things, cooking new Vegetarian recipes, practising yoga and going on long hikes. Whereas, Sally loves being near the coast, baking, reading, keeping up with current affairs and learning how things work.

We have lived an unconventional life for the last five years and it's certainly come with its fair share of challenges. However, we've also met so many wonderful people, experienced different ways of life and tried our hand to so many new things!

Allie has taught Photography, Crafts and Horse Care at a Kids Camp in America, interned at social media companies in Portugal and Malta and has degrees in Photography and Marketing. So if you need any help with social media, writing or any creative projects - she's your girl!

Sally spent years managing pubs, convenience shops and being a trainer in call centres. With the encouragement of Allie, she took the plunge and studied Sociology as a mature student at University. Having ran her own house for many years, she's a certified cleaning and organising machine.

We are both HUGE animal lovers. We had our own demanding rag doll cat for the best part of 17 years. We miss having animals and regularly sit for our grandparent's army of Bichon frise . We became best friends with 'Puggy', the sweetest pug puppy at our homestay in Ubud and Allie also has a habit of befriending all the stray cats as we travel!

Between us, we have worked for years in bars, cafes and restaurants. So we are used to working in high pressure environments and physically demanding roles. Recently, we have had the opportunity to run campsites in Kent and in New Zealand - involving long hours outside getting our hands dirty which we loved!

We are always keen to get stuck in and work hard. If we don't know how to do something - it's not a case of we can't do it, it's a 'we don't know how to...YET'. And relish the challenge of learning something new.

  I (Aliese) am a vegetarian, however I am relaxed and have no issue being around meat (I just don't eat it!). I love experimenting and cooking new recipes. I would be more than happy to help out in the kitchen and hopefully learn from each other!
