Description
Hi! My name is Alfonso and I'm 28. I'm from Spain and I'm now living in a city located in the south of Spain called Granada. I consider myself a contemplative person but when I want I can be dynamic and hard-working. I'm also a person with a restless and curious mind, wanting to go to new places to meet new people and cultures.
During the whole year 2023 I was living in Malta to give me the opportunity of improving my English and living a different experience after the end of my studies. Mainly, thanks to this, I think that my English level has gone up quite. In the first months of my stay I was learning the language at a school and for the rest of the time I was working as a stockroom operator in a Zara store. This experience, especially the working period, made me mature as a person.
In September 2021, I already did a short one-week volunteering placement in Poland. Although it was a short time I found it a wonderful way to travel as, in this way, you not only get to know new places but you also have the opportunity to get to know the culture and meet local people first hand, which I find the most exciting and interesting part of the experience!
I like to exercise like hiking in the country or playing tennis. Lately, I'm watching movies that I like in its original version as I see it as the funniest way to improve in a language. When I was a child, I used to read fantastic novels like "Memorias de Idhún". From time to time, I like to spend some time playing the piano. Anyway, I do it as a hobby. My level is very basic... I would like to play it better! :)

To get my university degree I had to get a B1 certificate in English. In addition, as I mentioned above, throughout 2023 I was living in Malta, an island that was once a British colony and where English is widely spoken. So I think that my level in this language would be enough, at least, to teach it at a basic level.
In my degree, like my classmates, I had to explain exercises on the blackboard in some subjects and we also made presentations. Although I know that I need more practice, I think I'm not bad at explaining.
I had a pet cat for a long time. I used to change his water when necessary, clean his litter box and make sure he never ran out of food. Anyway, he called you when he was hungry :) I did love him. I like animals in general, so if necessary, I think I could take good care of them with a good instructions :)
I have ever worked in the fields, especially to pick olives, since my parents have a field of olive trees.
I also have some computer skills due to my career such as programming in Python and C.
