Hi! I have just finished a degree at the University of Edinburgh and am looking to travel across Europe before I head off to work in Kazakhstan in September.
Last year I spent a year studying abroad in Santiago, Chile which was an incredible experience that gave me a real urge to travel. Having done a bit of backpacking I have definitely come to realise that, for me, the best way to travel is with sites like Workaway where you can stay in one place for a while, get to know local people and contribute to community projects along the way. I find it offers a much more interesting (and rewarding!) experience than the classic hostel/ pub crawl/city tour type experiences!!
I am a reliable, hard-working person ( I have always worked part time since i was 15), eager to learn (about just about anything but I particularly want to improve DIY skills, gardening, and languages)
Languages are a big passion of mine...I taught myself Spanish (and studied in Spanish while at Uni in Chile), am learning French and Russian is next on my list!
Some of my favourite travel experiences so far have been: hitchhiking, camping and trekking through Chile and Argentina; working as an au pair in Spain; and volunteering at a yoga retreat in Colombia.
