So far, we have had two wonderful Workaway experiences in Spain and Portugal. We are open to both indoor and outdoor work, including gardening, animal care, wood construction, sports, and other tasks.

Description

We are a couple from a small village near Brescia, in northern Italy. We've been together for five years and have spent the last two living and working in Alicante, Spain. Before returning home, we’re eager to continue our adventure by working through Workaway for a few months.

Mattia: I am a dedicated sports enthusiast and outdoor lover, always eager for new challenges and adventures. I am particularly passionate about water sports like surfing, as well as practicing Kung Fu. I’m an easy-going person with a deep love for travel and a strong appreciation for animals and nature.

Alessia: I am passionate about yoga, reading, and traveling. I'm always ready for new adventures and am especially excited to explore the Canary Islands, Portugal, and the lesser-known parts of Spain. I am naturally curious and eager to learn more about leading a more eco-friendly and minimalist lifestyle. I love immersing myself in different cultures and meeting new people, constantly seeking personal and professional growth through diverse experiences. Additionally, I am keen on learning new local recipes.

We are aware that living with people from different cultures isn't always easy, but we are eager to adapt, challenge ourselves, and step out of our comfort zone. We are also empathetic, responsible, and reliable, taking pride in being organized, tidy, and clean. Moreover, we are independent and honest, ensuring that we can contribute positively and respectfully to any environment we join.

Mattia: With over 20 years of experience as a carpenter, I bring a strong work ethic and a hands-on approach to every project. I am highly creative and skilled with manual tasks, always ready to contribute my skills and energy to new challenges. I look forward to the opportunity to learn and grow through my Workaway experiences.

Alessia: I studied to become a social worker, and before moving to Spain, I gained experience as an interpreter for Italian Sign Language, working with both deaf and hearing individuals. My background also includes roles in childcare as a babysitter and homework helper, as well as volunteering abroad through the AIESEC program. I am eager to learn and take on new tasks, and I’m highly adaptable, motivated, and excited to contribute to different projects and communities while expanding my skills.
