  • Description

Hello! My name is Alessandro, I’m 24 years old and I was born in Tuscany, Italy, in an area I consider absolutely beautiful because of all the greenery around it – the mountains, the woods, the sea, the waterfalls, the rivers and even a large lake!
Perhaps that is why I feel so strongly about environmental and climate issues. In fact, I have a long history of activism on these issues, which has led me to have many different experiences. I have spoken about climate change and activism (in the form of non-violent civil disobedience) in schools, on the radio, on television and even at the RAI headquarters in Milan.
Because of what I’ve done, I’ve given countless interviews, and I appear in a film released in cinemas in 2024 called ‘As If There Were No Tomorrow’ and in two books.

In addition to this, in recent years I’ve been travelling around Europe by bike, with a tent (even in winter) and everything I need to survive independently.
So far, I have visited 11 countries by bike alone and cycled around 13,000 km, but my goal is to visit every European country. I almost always travel alone and, each time, I try to immerse myself as much as possible in the traditions, way of life and culture of the countries I pass through.
It’s not difficult because I approach things with a completely open mind, and that’s why encounters, connections, conversations and hospitality come about naturally.
I’ve now got a bit of travel experience, so I can offer excellent advice on how to kit out a bike for travelling or how to pack a rucksack for a trip or a hike. Above all, I know lots of little tricks for lightening the load because I’m passionate about ultralighting!

I have lived for months in various communities across Italy and Spain, so I have a fairly clear idea of what it’s like to live with other people, how to communicate and how to live in harmony.

I have a great passion and aptitude for the ‘artistic’ world; throughout my life I have spent a great deal of time drawing and painting pictures, in a style I would describe as naturalistic, imaginative, colourful and extremely precise.
I create artistic ceramic pieces, which I often fire using the Raku technique, and over the years I have taken part in many markets and fairs in Italy and abroad, selling my creations, ceramics, paintings and drawings.
I also really enjoy working with wood, inventing mechanical devices and building them. For these reasons, I can assist with the realisation of artistic projects.

I try to lead a healthy lifestyle. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and I don’t take anything that alters the mind apart from coffee.
I eat a varied diet and, fortunately, I have no food intolerances or allergies, but if I have a choice, I always prefer vegan cuisine.
I’m passionate about yoga and practise it every day, and I’m keen to explore it further.
I live with a sincere desire to respect myself and those around me; in fact, this is why I decided to study and explore non-violent communication (NVC) (by Marshall Rosenberg, in my case). Because I believe that communication is the most powerful tool we have to live peacefully with ourselves and others.

I’ve had various jobs over the years. I’ve worked extensively as a gardener and I am very handy with manual tasks and maintenance; generally, I always try to lend a hand to those around me.
I’ve run an online shop and still have active profiles where I’ve sold all sorts of things. As I mentioned, I sell my creations at markets. I’ve worked in the catering industry, as an ice-cream maker and as a waiter. But i've worked also as a babysitter and even as a removal man.
I enjoy cooking and taking care of the kitchen, as well as keeping spaces tidy and organised in general.

Finally: I am on a journey of discovery.
I am trying to learn, to evolve, to understand, to grow... in short, I try to gain experience and draw on what happens to me to enrich my personal knowledge and to nurture my awareness and knowledge, to become a better person, and to do some good in the world.
    Thank you for your attention
