    Bio updated 07/07/2023

    Hello everyone!
    Workaway is the tool that gave me priceless help to find a way to finally leave my home country and start travelling. It’s been a hard choice to abandon everything but my objective was indeed to start over and create a new life abroad. The journey I lived so far helped me shape the person I wanted to be, to win over fears, fight loneliness and bring joy, it’s been much more than visiting places. I’m meeting awesome people and leaving a good memory of me.
    Not only this journey has eradicated my old self, building a new one from the rebels, but even started the bases for a new family and future abroad. It’s indeed thanks to Workaway if I’m not travelling alone anymore as I have now, on my side, the most shining of the angels. Mariya (who’s profile is connected to mine) appeared in my life along with a huge pink suitcase on the 1st of February, when she joined my very same project in Belgium, and since then we’ve been travelling together. Our major similarities has led us to the will to create our own Workaway project in the soonest future, where creativity and spirituality will arise as a space for arts and crafts of any kind, built and managed with beloved volunteers from any part of the world.
    I believe in Workaway as a means of learning and sharing, so if you, host, are only looking for slaves to move rocks and trees well, kindly hop to the next profile. I’ve literally spent my past six and a half years organising and tidying up work (or Workaway) places and in the last months of my journey I desire to join projects where I can have some cultural or knowledge exchange, and learn or teach something.
    I am a respectful, honest and silent person. I love cleanliness and I’m a very tidy and organised guest and worker.
    Following, more about me.
    I am an industrial electrician that used to work in maintenance for years and there are really few things I am not keen on. Despite my proficiency and skills, though, I never achieved to be fairly rewarded for my hard work in Italy (due to a closed mindset in my region) and that’s the reason why I spent more than two years, from July 2019 to January 2021, to find a way to leave for Canada and start over.
    I love to invent and build stuff, I'm an IT and technology enthusiast, I like to build and repair computers or smart devices and my best favourite hobby is to renovate vintage industrial items to their old fashion and working. I also like to collect eclectic and useful things for my future home displays (along with Lego of course). Among all of this I am also passionate about mechanised agriculture, big tractors and harvesters which I’d love to work with for a while in the future.
    I'm a nature lover and taking fancy shots with phone or drone is one of my favourite hobbies, altogether with long and short hikes on the most spectacular and scenic routes/places of the world (like the Icefield Parkway or the Lofoten archipelago).
    The kitchen is my kingdom. I love preparing complex meals and I have great experience in cooking for a large number of people (as proved by two months of paid chef position in the Netherlands).

    Here are just a couple of more pieces of information about me.
    I'm a non-smoker and I don't take any drugs (never did). I don’t like beer but I always enjoy drinking a glass of wine during a fancy meal or in the company of nice people.
    Cleanliness and tidiness are major indisputable factors for me and I always pursue them wherever I go.
    I tend to follow a healthy diet based on the Mediterranean type but I avoid eating beef.

    Here’s the summary of all my Workaway experiences so far:
    - Two months of paid chef position in a beach camping in the Netherlands;
    - Two weeks in a monumental farm in the NL moving logs and sticks;
    - Two weeks in a hobby farm in the NL feeding animals and doing electric works;
    - One month and a half in a museum in Belgium cleaning glasses and toilets;
    - Two months in a yoga retreat centre in BG cooking vegan and cleaning the house;
    - One month in BG building and destroying stuff in a big renovation project;
    - One month in Norway in a potato farm building an house and its kitchen omo;
    - One months and a half in a camping in Oslo cooking and cleaning for guests;
    - Two months in Canada renovating houses and fighting against blueberry bushes;
    - Two months in Canada to help a guy fix his huge expensive 3D printer.

    My bio used to be way longer than this (now 50% shorter) and people sometimes complained about its length, so I made a shorter one, more compact and suited for everyone.
    In spite of the brief(er) nature of my bio I still put a lot of effort and care into its writing and I immensely appreciate anyone who reads down to this point, hence here’s a cookie you can add in your headline/message so to let me know you read everything. 🍪

  • More details about your skills

    My five years of experience in big industrial facilities led me to become a professional in industrial maintenance. My specializations are electricity, electotechnics, electronics, automation, IT and computers but I'm also very keen to mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics and vehicles. I excel in carpentry thanks to the practice done through Workaway.
    I know a little of everything and I'm always happy to learn new things, expand my knowledge and teach what I know best. I love inventing, designing and building stuff. Among my passions there's also 3D printing and renovation of industrial objects.
    I can cook any recipe or my favourite dishes and the kitchen is definitely my natural element.
    I'm the best at organizing and cleaning up spaces although, after doing it for so long, I don't crave to do such jobs anymore.
    I can operate various equipment like lawn mowers, zero turn, excavators, bobcats, trucks...
