Hi, my name is Akhil Rajan. I’m 31 years old and originally from India.

I previously worked as a Guest Relations Manager at Ramada by Wyndham Cheltenham in the United Kingdom. After leaving my job, I spent about six months traveling across Southeast Asia and Central Asia, followed by some time living in Dubai.

During my travels, a friend introduced me to Workaway. At that time, I didn’t get the opportunity to explore it, but now I’m excited to finally use it as a way to combine my love for travel, meaningful experiences, and cultural exchange.

I am currently starting a new chapter in my life as a writer. I’ve completed my first book and am planning to publish it in July this year. Writing, for me, is deeply connected to the experiences I gather, the people I meet, and the stories I become a part of.

I love traveling, being close to nature, trying new things, and stepping away from the stress of routine life. I enjoy listening to people’s stories and contributing to experiences that are meaningful and memorable.

I hope Workaway not just act as platformt more like a way to live, learn, and grow through real human connections while continuing my journey as a traveler and writer

I am a postgraduate in Tourism, Events, and Hospitality Management, with over six years of professional experience in the hospitality industry. My background includes working in guest relations, where I developed strong communication skills and the ability to create a welcoming and positive experience for guests from different cultures.

I am comfortable with a variety of tasks such as guest handling, reception support, housekeeping, cleaning, and food service. I adapt quickly to new environments and always maintain a responsible and professional approach to my work.

In addition to my hospitality experience, I have a growing interest in farming and sustainable living. I enjoy working close to nature and am eager to learn more about agriculture, gardening, and eco-friendly practices.
