Description
I am a 24 year old living on the east coast of Canada and itching to get out and travel as it's been a while! My last big adventure I was a fresh high school graduate, and I know a lot more about myself now than I did then. I did one workaday experience at that time, in Northern Italy which was the highlight of my gap year. This time around, I am keen to stay a bit longer, form community and friendships, and ideally learn some skills pertaining to farming/gardening/processing at a small operation. I have been sitting at a desk for the last year and am looking forward to getting outside, getting dirty, being more intentional, and immersing myself in the local culture and sights. I speak some French which has unfortunately regressed, but which I would really like to improve if the opportunity avails itself.I have limited experience with farm life/managing livestock/land/agriculture but would love to learn and help out in any way I can. Developing tangible skills with this experience (and making strong connections :) ) is important to me.

I have been a house cleaner; ice cream scooper; cashier; political campaign manager; short stint as an au-pair; and some volunteer work previously on a small non-profit community farm mostly harvesting and processing crops. I have intermediate French, I play some guitar, and I love learning and sharing about other cultures and languages. My strongest skill is organizing people, events, projects - I am an operations specialist in government as my day job.
